Tourism chiefs last night blasted Met Office's ‘nannying’ warnings to stay out of the sunshine in the heatwave. The weather service yesterday issued an amber health alert as it forecast temperatures could hit 95F (35C). UK hospitality industry leaders and MPs called advice ‘nonsense’ – and urged families to enjoy rare weather. They hope the heatwave will encourage ‘staycations’ and provide a huge boost to Britain’s tourism industry .
